Description

note: this is old news I found but doesn't seem to be on the timeline, not sure what the policy is on backfilling entries but filing this just in case

According to the statement from the US department of justice, HashFlare was a fake bitcoin/eth/whatever mining pool that reported a hash rate that was higher that the rate that is actually being mined, and sold those to its customers.
