Hello i have one of the Netgear AX3200 USB adapters and it has been working great on x64. Im trying to get it working on a rpi4 with the latest kali build and it appears the driver isn't present.
EDIT ### its just clicked that its kernel 5.15 being before this driver was added in 5.18 ill have to see if i c an manually install the drivers for this one. Ive tried adding the udev hotplug automation with no luck, Ive also tried the other method but modprobe cannot find mt7921u
lsusb can see the usb adapter

Hi @anthraxau
Good.
Kernel is too old. I've seen several messages from users trying the Kali for RasPi. You might try asking on a Kali forum when an updated version of Kali for the RasPi is expected or... you could burn the current 64 bit RasPiOS (2023-05-03) and the adapter will be plug and play. I use the RasPiOS on my Pi4B and I think you can install most of the stuff Kali includes on the RasPi. As is explained in Main Menu item 2, Plug and Play List, the minimum kernel for this adapter is 5.18. It seems that Kali for the RasPi is dated at this point so asking the makers of the distros why it is so dated is probably in order. |
