Anybody have more than one MT7921 based cards going on the same host? I seem to remember something about the driver choking if the same usb vendor:product pair was in the system twice but now I cannot seem to find it. Figment of my imagination or reality? Thanks

I have tested it. However, let me test again. What exactly are you looking for? mt7921au x 2 I can do... mt7921au x 3 and mt7922e at this same time. Will that work?
Welcome to the world of Realtek out-of-kernel drivers. The drivers here that won't allow it: rtl88x2bu |

Bus 004 Device 003: ID 0e8d:7961 MediaTek Inc. Wireless_Device I also have a PCIe card with a mt7922e chipset. If fact, I also have these in the system: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda:c811 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. 802.11ac NIC I logged in with one of the 7961 (mt7921au) adapters and did some surfing. If fact, I'm sending the message via said adapter. There is nothing obvious in this short test that indicates there is a problem running more than one mt7921 adater/card in the same system. FYI: It is not unusual for me to have 4 usb wifi adapters in the same system at the same time. |
