You are not going to like what I think but here it is anyway:

If you are going to be doing work with Kali, adapters with Realtek chipsets are a bad idea. Recommend you return the 1900 to get your money back. You can find a list of adapters that are recommended for Kali at this link (it is also on the Main Menu):
