Kali on Raspberry Pi 3B - ALFA AC1900 WiFi Adapter - no ACK's in airplay-ng #531
-
Hi, Thanks morrownr for the work you have done to provide drivers. I've installed my new ALFA AC1900 WiFi Adapter on my Pi running latest Kali and installed the drivers from here. The problem is that I do not see any ACK's when I run airplay-ng. 14:27:28 Sending 64 directed DeAuth (code 7). STMAC: [Obscured] [ 0| 0 ACKs] What do you guys think? Thanks |

Hi @cloudgenki
You are not going to like what I think but here it is anyway: If you are going to be doing work with Kali, adapters with Realtek chipsets are a bad idea. Recommend you return the 1900 to get your money back. You can find a list of adapters that are recommended for Kali at this link (it is also on the Main Menu): https://github.com/morrownr/USB-WiFi/blob/main/home/Recommended_Adapters_for_Kali_Linux.md Back to the question you asked: The driver for the 1900 is old and hard to maintain. The problem you are seeing is a known problem. You will find additional problems. The driver is hard to maintain and I have no plans to try to fix any problems on that driver. There are really good adapters that work really well with Kali, the 1900 is not one of them. |
