Describe the problem and steps to reproduce it:

PR 1785 introduces the ability for enterprise-installed extensions to skip data collection consent flows in extensions when consent has already been granted outside of the extension itself.

The guidance on extensionworkshop.com should be further expanded to more fully address when it is appropriate to use, how to adopt it, etc.

  • Create a new section in the enterprise documentation that describes this allowance and associated requirements in more detail.
  • Add links to this section from related documentation.
  • Create an example extension that implements a compliant user experience for a self-hosted extension.
