poor handling of high latency

if I join stations on my bad 3G connection I constantly silently disconnect without realizing. I would like to see some QoL changes for people with terrible internet.

1. a disconnect notification in chat.
2. a way to re-connect (automatically or not), once you've disconnected without manually refreshing the page.
