event countdown gets in the way of collpasing video

reproduce: have a long event countdown like >100 days, then collapse the video.

the countdown will keep the video column from completely disappearing.

I wanna add that if you have an event like 100000+ days in the future the event countdown messes up things a lot more, even without collapsing the video. probably should limit events too far in the future.
