I know. But NonGNU Elpa is set up by default in emacs, so it's a good way to reach more users who might not use melpa etc.

Ah, I see. I was confused because I parsed your request as "non-(GNU Elpa) package", a definition that MELPA satisfies :-)

I'm not opposed to Modalka being available there, but I won't invest time or effort to conform with whatever requirements they might have or to navigate mailing lists. If you'd like to push this forward I'm only in favor.

And totally understandable about the time thing. If I ever get around to looking into how to package stuff for nongnu elpa (which probably would happen if I publish a package) I might come back here and do it if nobody else beats me to it.

Either way thanks for the package :) I'm enjoying using it. Was trying to jump back into using xah fly keys but some stuff about it annoyed me, especially how it unbinds a bunch of useful things. So I'm having more fun by defining my own modal layout gradually!
