It would be great to have recently used or pinned emojis.
Also, it would be nice if the first 10 could have a number so it could be completely free of the mouse (i.e.: 1 is the first, 2 is the second, etc).

👍 This would be a good feature.

You should be able to select emoji without mouse now though, by using the left/right/top/down keys & enter, does that not work for you? Although numbered emoji can save you from having to navigate to it first.
