The voice preview function cannot be stopped or backed out of

Can the voice preview function not open up a blank dialog with no cancel button?

Currently, when I press the Preview button before downloading a voice, it opens up another dialog box until the test sentence finishes. This doesn't take a whole lot of time, but The dialog is useless when it's playing other than displaying a message, I can't back out and skip the rest of the voice preview if I don't like it. The other day the previews wouldn't load for some reason, effectively leaving the dialog open and I couldn't close it without restarting NVDA.

Solution? I say leave the manager dialog open and just change the preview button to a Stop button while it's playing. Also, if the preview fails to load right away the manager shouldn't freeze.
