lovely-forks: Looks like the rate-limit was exceeded. #25

I haven't seen any change in the Github API of late. Perhaps it was a transient issue? Lovely forks tries to make judicious use of caching to avoid exceeding the API rate limit. Perhaps some other Github related extension you are using/were experimenting with was also clobbering the API? If so, I would like to know. In any case, I think I should allow the user to specify a personal access token, much like I do for appreciate, to increase the rate limit. |
Ah, after disabling all my other Github extensions this problem was resolved. Feel free to close this unless you want to keep it as a reminder for the personal access token. |

Sorry for the stupid question, but I can't find this option in the extension. I also use other extensions that do not have the personal token option, so I'm trying to be under the limit with the extension that have it :) |
@fharper That is because I haven't implemented it yet. :) Are you running into the rate limit regularly? |
@musically-ut: oh, my bad, no worries 😅 Yes I do, because I use like 6 other GitHub specific extensions and 3 of them don't have the option to use a personal token, so it kinda happen quickly when you spend a lot of time on GH during the day. |
This extension seems like it could be really helpful, but it is not working for me. I am getting the error in the title of this issue every time a page loads.
