CERTIFICATION
PostyBirb is now code signed by an official CA Issuer (Sectigo)!
This has been made possible because of the various donations I have received.
Thanks to everyone for helping make this app more official :D
Next goal is to get Mac Code Signing working.
New Features
- Scheduled submissions now appear in the Posting Queue. They still won't post until their time comes.
- Hovering over a record in the queue will now display the websites it is posting to.
- Red border now appears around failed posts.
Bug Fixes
- Aspect Ratio tool should now work better for Thumbnails.
Misc
- Attempt to make it more obvious that a profile is not selected.
- UI will only check for and display a status alert / update notification every 12 hours instead of every hour.
2.0.0
Remake Test Version
This is a test version for the complete remake of PostyBirb
-Templates, submissions, etc will not share between v2.0.0+ and v1.x.x
Differences Between v2.x.x and v1.x.x
UI
- UI has been mostly reworked.
- App has a similar format still, and some may be happy to find a return of the submission form being more vertical again.
- There is no longer a bottom bar as it didn't seem necessary.
- Submissions and other editing forms are now handled in tabs.
Submission Forms
- Form is now more vertical (like in the good ol' days).
- Validation is no longer bound to the form.
- More verbose warnings should now be given to specify why a submission is not ready to post yet.
- You can now apply templates to specific sections if you want to (i.e. setting the Default Description from template 1, and websites from template 2).
- You can now crop a thumbnail when it is first given. This should allow images to be around 10MB when entered. Hopefully thumbnails will end up less than 2MB after resized/cropped since some websites have small size requirements.
- You now specify a login profile to use.
- You can now select/deselect a website regardless of login status.
Journals/Statuses
- Journal/Statuses can now be scheduled, and queued in with other submissions.
- Hentai Foundry is now supported.
- For now InkBunny is disabled from being supported. More detail below in WEBSITE CHANGES section.
Templates
- Templates can now also be created in a section specifically made for creating Templates.
- Templates can now be used to blanket fill a submission OR fill in only one section (e.g. description).
- Although it is somewhat redundant, you can also specify Description Templates that are supported by the new Rich Text Editor (RTE) being used (TINYMCE).
Bulk Editing (Non-journal only)
- Bulk editing now has its own tab section.
- Boasts all the same capabilities in Submission Forms except Validation.
- Ability to set a Rating was removed for now since I feel setting a rating is very easy at this point.
Profiles
- Profiles are now managed from within one screen. You can create, update, rename, delete these more easily.
Login Section
- You can now filter out websites you don't want to see anymore if you want by pressing the filter icon in the Login panel.
Posting
- In theory double posting to a website should now be impossible.
- Submissions that are scheduled cannot be edited unless unscheduled.
- Submissions/Journals being posted now display below the list of editable submissions.
- Some websites should now provide better error messages depending on the type of failure.
Website Additions
- Ko-fi is now added in. (Currently does not support gold features yet).
Website Changes
- Patreon now supports Additional Files.
- Hentai Foundry now supports Journals
- Furry Amino may be removed. This is unrelated to the remake and it caused by a change they made that I feel is too much effort at the moment.
- InkBunny no longer supports Journals. This can be added in if there is high enough demand, but for now it is removed. Their API does not support it currently (somehow) and the way I got it to work before was somewhat unreliable.
- e621 Description now support some of their native stuff (bold, italic, embedded links, etc).
- Derpibooru Description now support some of their native stuff (bold, italic, embedded links, etc).
- Newgrounds Description now supports HTML (since they now support it).
- FurryNetwork Description now supports way better markdown support.
- DeviantArt category select now shows a list of the last 5 used categories.
- Mastodon Spoiler Text will now mark the image as a spoiler too.
Miscellaneous Changes
- Submission files are no longer tied to their local file names. Files are now stored in a IndexedDB database (this is stored on your computer like a normal browser. IndexedDB. This means you can now change, move, rename files without affecting what is in PostyBirb.
- Although untested, the app should be more stable when posting when a computer is in sleep mode as it should now try to stop the OS from suspending the PostyBirb process.
- Cache clearing should happen less often since it happened far too often before.
- Angular has been updated.
- Electron has been updated.
Miscellaneous Removals
- Submission Form will no longer show truncated Titles.
