In Kanban, it's customary to be able to have swimlanes and columns. Swimlanes can indicate projects, or could be labels unrelated to columns. In the latter case, you could have a pattern defined to indicate a row label. For example Row_xxx, Row_yyy, etc. You could then strip "Row_" from the displayed text on the Kanbanist board. Thoughts?

Hi @JohnWebmaster thanks for the feature request. I’d agree that swimlanes would be a valuable addition to Kanbanist. There’s an existing PR for supporting non-column labels in filters and as such, I’d be hesitant to create swimlanes based on labels but by project (or another field) would be great.
Totally agree with @AndrewMWebster 's reasons: +1 on projects as Swimlanes
In my setup I am using a "GOALS" label as last stage.
Would be awesome to be able to group the tickets by project-lanes and see the project goals
