This is Ian from the technology services helpdesk, we've received a recent report that users are unable to send feedback after our changes to the IMAP system last month:

https://emails.illinois.edu/newsletter/218201.html

Could this issue please be resolved by adjusting the feedback system in order to comply with these changes?

Hi @iwhowe77, thanks for the note! Is the fix for this as simple as pointing at smtp.office365.com instead of the old SMTP server? Will the new server allow large numbers of emails to be sent through it? Any rate limits we should be aware of?

The randexam feedback system sends individualized emails to each student for their particular exam, so the other mass-mailing alternatives listed on the page you linked don't seem to work for this use-case.

Thanks!
Matt.

Hello Matt,

I'm going to escalate this issue to our exchange team to make sure we can get a confident answer for you. Since our ticketing system isn't compatible with GitHub, we'll look to reach out to you via email with any additional information.

People on the UofI network can use outbound-relays.techservices.illinois.edu (https://answers.uillinois.edu/47888)

Or even better, use smtp.office365.com and append '@illinois.edu' after the NetID.
