Let me explain to you more clearly how local recording works so we can use it for future reference. Yes, the above mentioned issue is quite common as users are not aware of how the local recording feature actually works. Local recording has to be done from Google Chrome with a different user. So you will need to open Google Chrome in a new window (not a tab) and join the session with a separate user as an administrator (not a participant). Now click on local recording and another window will appear to share the current tab. You will need to click on the button at the bottom to enable recording of the tab audio. This will ensure that the entire audio of the session is captured. This way you can record locally successfully. If you do not follow this rule, the audio will be lost and this is normal. In this case, you can follow a trick, you can start recording the session after sharing your microphone, because when you start recording locally, the audio will be mixed and captured to your current audio devices. So if you start recording first and then share the microphone later, the microphone will be excluded, this is normal and there is no solution. Local recording is completely browser based and the tab audio capture feature is only supported on Google Chrome. So if you try from Firefox or other browser other than Chromium, it will not work as expected. |

The generated WEBM file from local recording has no audio.
