I'm currently looking for more information... It looks like rules for shifting the holiday from weekend to monday or friday varies. For example in 2023 it splits into 3 days, but in 2024 every state celebrates Nov 11.

In my opinoin, most states move veterans day to the nearest weekday, but:

• Massachusetts, Mississippi and New York do not move that day since 1975,
• Rhode Island moves that day always forward,
• Wisconsin recognizes the holiday since 2018.
