OpenBSD/cats runs on the
<a href="http://www.simtec.co.uk/">Simtec Electronics</a>
<a href="http://www.simtec.co.uk/products/EB110ATX/">StrongARM
110 Evaluation Board</a>.
<p>
<strong><font color="#e00000">The OpenBSD/cats port has been
discontinued</font></strong> after the 4.0 release.
<p>
There is no longer work on supporting this port, however the source code
is still available in the CVS Attic.
<p>
A mailing list for ARM-based ports is available at
<u><font color="#23238e">[email protected]</font></u>.
To join the OpenBSD/arm mailing list, send a message body of
<b>"subscribe arm"</b> to
<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>.
Please be sure to check our <a href="mail.html">mailing list policy</a> before
subscribing.
<p>
The current port maintainer is Dale Rahn
(<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>).
Others are definitely welcome to contribute!
We are also evaluating other possible ARM platforms.

<h3><font color="#0000e0"><strong>History:</strong></font></h3>
<p>
OpenBSD/cats was started based on NetBSD -current code of January 2004.
It was used as a reasonably fast foundation to the
<a href="zaurus.html">zaurus</a> port.
<p>
Once the zaurus port was running well, cats was neglected due to the
(relative) lack of hardware, as well as the deceiving hardware reliability,
and was eventually dropped shortly after the inception of the
<a href="armish.html">armish</a> port.
