As a member of the Women Techmakers Bamenda (WTM Bamenda) community, you are expected to follow this code of conduct in all interactions, both online and offline, as well as in contributions to our projects. This code of conduct ensures that WTM Bamenda remains an inclusive and respectful community for all participants.
We, the members of WTM Bamenda, pledge to foster an open and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, religion, or level of experience. We are dedicated to making participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone.
To contribute to a positive and inclusive community, we expect all members to:

Be Respectful: Treat others with respect, kindness, and empathy. Be considerate of diverse perspectives and experiences.

Inclusive Language: Use inclusive language and avoid exclusionary or offensive language and behaviors.

Collaborative Environment: Work together harmoniously, valuing diverse opinions and ideas. Constructive criticism is encouraged, but it should always be offered with respect.

Safe Space: Create a safe and supportive space for all community members. Do not engage in harassment, discrimination, or intimidation.

Report Incidents: If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this code of conduct, report it promptly to the community organizers.
Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Offensive comments, jokes, or insults.
- Deliberate exclusion of individuals or groups.
- Public or private harassment on social media or other platforms.
- Unwanted advances, attention, or contact.
- Disruptive behavior during community events or discussions.
The community organizers are responsible for enforcing this code of conduct. If you believe someone is violating this code, please contact one of the organizers immediately. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and confidentially.
In cases where a violation is confirmed, the organizers may take appropriate actions, including warning the offender, temporary or permanent expulsion from the community, or any other action deemed necessary to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment.
