Acceptance Criteria:
it should document the following operations:

  • reading multiorder skymaps
  • plotting multiorder skymaps on mollweide axes
  • finding the area of the 90% credible region
  • making a joint skymap by multiplying and normalizing two skymaps
  • testing whether a point is in the 90% credible region.
  • finding the integrated probability within a cone or polygon
  • describe usage of 2d and 3d skymaps

it should document the following tools:

  • healpy
  • mhealpy
  • astropy-healpix
  • mocpy/cdshealpix

it should:

  • link to the mhealpy documentation
  • link to ligo/virgo/kagra public alerts user guide
  • link to the healpix primer
  • link to the moc papers or virtual observatory standards
