Hi,

I'm convinced that ascinema will produce a better rendering than gif for your screen-cast.
You can even use termtosvg if you don't want to embed js asciinema player or redirect to their website, but embed an SVG instead.

I would have done the screen-cat and a PR myself, but unfortunately I don't have nodejs currently installed on my machine. But I can do the SVG part if you produce an asciinema recording.
