I've read the RFC, but I still don't get why it's expected.
Could you help to explain why?

Once a Registry is removed, all its children (Image, SBOM and VulnerabilityReports) should be removed.

Have you tried to list them without going through the UI, like using kubectl get?

I'm asking because the UI relies on Steve to obtain the data from the Kubernetes API server, which uses a cache. Maybe it's the cache of Steve that needs more time to be updated.

I confirmed in dev testbed for the same case.
After all the registries are removed, the vulnerabilityreport remain some entries. The number and contents are consistent with what we can see in Rancher UI's more resource > storage.sbomscanner.kubewarden.io.

Please, take a look at the resources that have been created and make sure they have metadata.ownerReferences set.

Then create an issue on the SBOMscanner repository. Follow the submission template, make sure you provide clear steps about how to reproduce the problem.
