Spike: How can the New Relic Ruby agent support/integrate profiling tools? #2336

Profiling tools are commonly used to help identify performance bottlenecks. New Relic's thread profiling tool has similar features. However, there are lots of other profiling tools in the Ruby community. We should review these tools and try to see if some of their insights can be leveraged into APM, introduced as their own features, or used in some other way by the Ruby agent.
