[bug] on mobile WS connection closes when screen shut off #157

WS closes when screen shut off. It should NOT close if there is an active response coming in from LLM
WS SHOULD close if screen shut off and NO active response coming in
If WS is closed, must act as a STOP
Test if switching apps closes WS as well; if so, need same behavior as above

made significant progress here in #161

further progress may require a pwa or native app; will keep researching
