Issues with Sonoma #2
Comments
Hi @reimertz , Thanks for the hint! I haven't updated to Sonoma yet, but I've done some research online, and it appears that many people are experiencing problems with it, particularly regarding iCloud synchronisation, which appears to be syncing all files on the Mac. I'll be keeping an eye out for any potential solutions from Apple and any other workarounds that might arise. Hopefully, they will address this issue promptly. Since you have Sonoma installed, could you please keep me updated on the situation with your sync? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! |
On MacOS Sonoma 14.3 Even the installation script didn't work for me. I ended up having to manually move the iCloud Sync and NoSync files to ~Library/Services This was my terminal output when I attempted to manually install it: Last login: Sat Feb 3 13:11:51 on ttys000
suhayb@iPhone-106 icloud-nosync-1.1 % utils/install.sh
cp: ../scripts/iCloud No Sync.workflow: No such file or directory
cp: ../scripts/iCloud Sync.workflow: No such file or directory
The workflow files have been copied into the Services directory. |
Hey @suhaybu, Thanks for pointing that out! I've updated the installation script, so it should work fine now. Please give it another try and let me know how it goes. I really appreciate your hint! |
Hello @nicolodiamante! I got the chance to try your updated script and I am happy to inform you that it works as intended. The script also successfully opened the Extensions settings. Thank you for the speedy response and update! I understand you are not running MacOS Sonoma so I have attached both my Terminal Log and a screenshot of the Settings pane that the script opened. Hopefully this can help you to make sure everything is working as you intended. Terminal log:Last login: Sun Feb 4 18:06:36 on console

Hello @suhaybu, I've finally upgraded to macOS Sonoma. I'm pleased to hear the script is performing as expected, and I truly appreciate your effort in sharing the Terminal Log and the screenshot of the Settings panel. I hope this update streamlines the installation process for you. |
Hi there @nicolodiamante! Thanks for this utility. I wanted to ask you if you have updated to Sonoma? It seems it broke the usage of .nosync / .tmp and nested folders are now syncing for me, basically broken the entire icloud setup I've used since 2016.
