This would solve #144 for me, anyway, in a nice way. I can use nix flake lock to manipulate a temp lock file and then pass that to nix-eval-jobs.

I'm working on a tool that manages deployments of multiple machines, each one has a separate lock file so that I can update them individually.
I'm thinking of giving nix-eval-jobs a try, however, without --reference-lock-file, lock file management becomes too cumbersome.
