Latest version of GPT4All is not launching.

Bug Report

Latest version of GPT4all is not launching. Downloaded it from official website, when I try to start the app from desktop icon it's just doesn't start. The previous version was launching without any problems. Tried to delete and download again several times, but in vain.

Expected Behavior

The newest version of app will start properly.

16gb RAM

It is possible that it wants to load the default model, which would not load because of the change of all Prompt Templates; this is a wild guess, as it would mean that its PT was already changed (hardcoded, or taken from a settings file - which in the latter case it could be set to null in there - which would mean that scores of users would experience the same). Who knows. /my2cents

Okay, then why the old version is opening without any problems, but the version that is downloaded from the official installer is not opening. Also, in task manager I can see chat.exe, but still nothing

I have encountered the same issue.
Windows 11 Home (24H2)
GPT4All 3.5.1
CPU backend. No GPU.

Symptom
GTP4All can not launching. It can not open window.
On the bottom menu bar, I can see GPT4All icon.

I also can not remove the GPT4All from Windows
Setting => Application => Installed application menu.
When I try to remove the GPT4All, the uninstall program failed to start.

Does it not show even after a time, say 10 seconds? On Win10 b19042 this is the apx.time to wait until the window appears. It may depend on the starting of Embedding/Indexing/reading LocalDocs collections... which from what I see does start right after (or even before) the main window appears, which may simply slow down the drawing.On Dec 17, 2024 07:43, standby24x7 ***@***.***> wrote: I have encountered the same issue.
