Description

Request for support for a port of Nord for Typora markdown editor.
I've gone ahead and made a pass at a dirty initial port.

Hi @parkersarsfield 👋, thanks for your contribution 👍

Please be aware that there are already 40+ port project requests in the backlog and my free time is limited to work on the massive amount of issues/PRs. I currently focus on the data transition of all port projects to the new and shiny website and documentations to finally reduce the maintenance overhead and increase the overall project quality.

I'm also a bit worried about the future plans of the Typora creators regarding the licensing model:

* Free during beta. Available for mac OS X 10.13 and later. [...]

This might be a problem later on when it comes to maintaining the port, e.g. adding new syntax highlighting, improving existing ones of fixing any problem. As long as there is no way for theme authors to use a trial version of the app I won't be able to support the port after it leaves the beta phase. That's one of the main problems when trying to support commercial products 😒

Anyway, I've also added this request to the backlog and will take a look at it in more detail when there's time again for new port projects. In the meantime other users who'd like to use Nord for Typora can happily use your project 😄

Hi!
Even though, I understand the concerns of @arcticicestudio regarding the plans of Typora, and despite there being already a possible solution from @parkersarsfield, I went ahead and wrote an own implementation of the Nord theme for Typora. I plan on using it more often, and, thus, I went a little nuts and wrote a color theme for the Source Mode and other features of Typora as well 😄 .
There might be some colors I got wrong. If anyone stumbles upon this, feel free to contribute!

@pantajosef This looks great! I'm not an active Typora user currently, so I'll leave some documentation in my port pointing over to yours. Awesome work!

@parkersarsfield Great, thanks! (Just a side note: It seems kind of odd, but I changed my github username, and even though, there is a redirect, it would be great if you could update the link to my repo 😅.)

I've created a descent port if you're still interested.
You can get the theme from here.

Here's my repository as well.
