Which distro? I can't reproduce this. Nothing has changed for gtk2. I can't find anything from gtk2 log either. |
As I said I tested on Xubuntu 18.04 64 bit beta. This is an official variant of Ubuntu with the Xfce desktop environment: |
I tested this again with the final (not Beta anymore) live disc / image with Xubuntu 18.04 64 Bit. I got the image from this page: https://xubuntu.org/download |
I have the same problem on Debian unstable with Xfce. Wasn't sure if it's a bug but if it is I can confirm it. |

Not sure but it looks like this isn't an issue anymore in Xubuntu 20.10 Groovy Gorilla. Previously I had to fix this bug for every major version jump in Xubuntu e.g. from 19.10 to 20.04. |
Under Xubuntu 18.04 beta with Xfce 4.12 the bottom window border is roughly five pixels but should be one I think. Please have a look at this screenshot:
