About the article table of contents

For each article page, I want to set it to:

1. If the article has a table of contents, the table of contents will be displayed on the left according to the default style of the theme;

2. If the article does not have a table of contents, let the article content be displayed in full screen, and the left area is not left blank;or I can customize something else in the left area.

But I don't find any settings in the single.html or config folder. How do I configure or modify it?

By looking at other people's similar issue #10, I've solved the issue of blank space on the right (left is wrong in the question above) when the article has no table of contents.
