Best way to make the appearance dark/light apply to custom html elements?

Hi, I'm using Tabulator to make tables on one of my pages. The colors look all wrong on dark themed pages. I wanted to have the appearance button add the css class to the Tabulator element so I can style it easily. What is the best way to go about doing that?
