Bumping pkg version #110
Comments
Unfortunately, I no longer work with the employer that supported this work and I don't have enough time to keep up with the maintenance necessary to keep this on CRAN. I have no plans to make any updates at this time. However, the package should continue to work. The last checks on the CRAN archive indicate bad URLs were preventing vignettes from building. Unless there have been changes in the dependency packages, it should continue when installed from GitHub. |
Thanks for the quick reply @nutterb. I guess, I'll just go ahead and close this issue then. Good luck 😄 |
Hi @nutterb, Sorry to bother you again, but I wanted to reach out regarding the current status of your package. It's a dependency in one of our projects, and ideally, we'd love to continue using it as is. However, we noticed some areas that may require updates for this to happen. I was wondering if you'd be open to accepting a pull request (PR) from us to update and maintain the package on GitHub. If you're no longer actively maintaining it, as you already mention, would you be okay with us forking it for further development? Please let us know what you'd prefer—whether it’s collaborating on PRs or forking to continue development on our end. We really appreciate the work you've done and would like to ensure the package remains useful and functional. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, |
@habacucfm I have no objection to processing a pull request. Please feel free to fork and develop as you wish. I'll reach out to @jdutch27 and see how he feels about transferring maintainership. He was more of the brains behind the concept and I was just the code jockey. |
@habacucfm we have no objections if you would like to take over the maintenance of this package. |
Hello @nutterb,
I was wondering if there are any plans to release a new version of the package in the near future?
