This question was asked a couple of years ago, and it was mentioned that it was added to a todo list, but can't find any follow up...

Is there a way to use this script to modify preceding "The"'s in movie titles?

For example:

Movie title: "The Double"
Year: 2013

Can it be moved and renamed to this:

x/x/Double, The (2013)/The Double (2013).mkv

This is how CP does it, and I'm trying to keep the same format as it helps when sorting movie folders to not have them all say "The X".

Thanks!

It was forgotten.
This won't happen again thanks to this issue item.

Hi @jtenniswood,
VideoSort uses the library guessit as its underlying workhorse. I just did a quick check there and couldn't find this capability there.
If implemented in VideoSort itself, it would only work for the english language and not work as expected for any other.
