There are user folders which show up ontop of a "General" folder which is the thing that contains everything useful? Huh? I don't know what to click on half the time.

Suggestion:

  • Get rid of the user folders.
  • Rename dashboards so they make sense (which "Apache" is this? is this what runs the /~user/ sites? it's unclear).
  • Organize dashboards into some kind of logical categories (best effort).
  • (Not part of this issue, but as an ongoing goal...) Add new dashboards for the services that support Grafana but aren't currently monitored.

I think moving user folders to a less visible but still publicly accessible experimental namespace doesn't do any harm and still lets people have their own space to create and be able to share their graphs. Seems like the issue is with UI clutter?
