GoogleHacks1.6.u3p not installable

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install it on a sandisk flash memory and it will fail, 
saying in the log that the version is incorrect
2. From the U3 launchpad Add this program from the Computer

3. an obscure error make the installer fail

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

SOLUTION:
modify the first 3 lines of manifest.u3i to be:


<?xml version="1.0"?>
<u3manifest version="1.0">
    <application uuid="033A1189-A3A7-46ED-8DA4-B48AAEBAD125" version="1.0">
