Some preatreatment such croping, thresholding can be used to clean the scan in order to make the OMR more efficient.

Good thresholding toturial, pay attention to the Adaptive Thresholding section

It's good to understand that this issue is different from #13. This aims at producing a suitable material for OMR kernel (discussed in #13 and which must take as input a "clean" scan or better output such as generated PDFs).
