Introducing Geo Street Talk -- blog post for newsletter [newsletter] #515
Comments
@todrobbins thanks for the thumbs up. Do you by chance know the review protocol or timing with these sorts of things? |
Hey @patwater, Sorry for the delayed response! I don't know the current review protocol, but @rufuspollock or @pwalsh can get this reviewed. Cheers! |
@todrobbins if you sign off on this we'd be happy to include. We'd need someone to volunteer as newsletter editor in place of @danfowler who is no longer available. |
Great! Really appreciate it! CC @YukunVVan who did the work and authored the post and @dmarulli who was point from Team ARGO |
@rufuspollock you got it! I can handle some editorial duties 👍 PS: @patwater, I just requested access to that doc. Will approve once I can review. |
@todrobbins Thanks! I've already shared the document with you. |
@YukunVVan looks good! Are you hoping to have these posts syndicated on the Labs blog or just included in the newsletter? |
Both would be nice if that's possible :) |
@todrobbins not to be a nudge though what's the approx timeline on these? Just trying to get a sense so can coordinate on our end. Thanks much! |
Yes, sorry! The the newsletter process is new to me, but you will want to submit a blog post this way: http://okfnlabs.org/blog/add/ I'll work with the Labs team to get these posts into the newsletter as well ASAP. |
@todrobbins roger does the gdoc work? If not @YukunVVan could you please add as a PR to the repo? |
@todrobbins nudging these up in your notifications :) |
Geo Street Talk translates loose conversational directions like between 6th and 8th street on Y avenue into a precise street segment.
See here for the draft blog post introducing the tool. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1V9cEFInH4HVlkDom5XgDh_GE0x3C863t5D-V0WQm_QU/edit

Could you please let us know if you'd like to include in the newsletter? We also have a couple other posts from ARGO's winter marketplace that may be of interest.
