Select plugin - search not well on Tesla browser

Describe the bug
While typing in the search field of a select box the options should be filtered to show only the matching ones. On the browser currently on my Tesla car, this does not happen until you delete a character. See the video here:

The select contains available timezones; typing New_Y nothing happens. Deleting Y, the option America/New_York appears as first item.

It works well on my mobile and desktop, both Firefox and Chrome.
