as discussed here, an android implementation is a really tempting alternative to raspberry pi devices... they are always going to be available! I wondered about the feasibility of reusing this code base, but it will probably be too different. So, I created a separate repo AVM (Android Video Machine), a PVMspinoff. We may as well decide to abandon this version and just move on to that one. In that case we'll call it PVM version 2, or something like that: we could keep PVM with a slight rebranding to Portable Video Machine. But seriously, the android implementation will be very different, and more work. It will need to start by discussing strategies, but that can take place in that repo. We will keep this issue here, until we figure out if it will be just a spinoff or if it will take over this repo here.
