Usability issue where a visitor might enter an address and then click the START button.

Some possible solutions:

  • Rename START to FIND ME.
  • If a person enters an address and clicks START, treat it as SEARCH.

It might also be a good idea to hide the RESET button until there is a location captured to reset to.

Another possibility is to disable the START button when text entry happens in the address field. I kind of like that as opposed to creating "magic behavior" for the buttons.

Travis & I talked about this tonight. Here's our proposal:

  • One "field" (un-style form elements and wrap with border, google search style) that contains address text field and a location icon on the right (arrow pointing up and to right, hopefully can still 'pulse')
  • Magnifying glass button to indicate 'submit' for address search remains as is
