Adding drop-down feature to Git Repositories section #2506
Comments
It would indeed help with getting a better grasp of the details. |
@ChiragAwale should I start working on this or wait for more feedback before I start working on it? |
I think that would be a good change. It's easy to skip this part since they look like links and not an easy way to move through the different sections. Maybe the language can be changed to let folks know that the links can be used to navigate to each section, instead of only being described as a summary. And an additional button can be added to each section so that folks can return to this main list of links. This is a really useful page while folks get used to using Githhub, so I imagine it's common to come back to it for reference as you keep contributing. Making sure you can navigate back up to this list easily from each section might be helpful. |
Adding dropdown might also confuse people as they will expect to expand the section. But we can see how it will look after adding it and decide if we want to keep it. |
@lmmrssa Should I go ahead and work on adding the dropdowns? |
Problem
The Git Repositories page has a lot of information that can be missed or skipped when you are going through the page.

Proposed solution
To make it more easy to read and not miss any of the details, I think adding a drop-down for each of the hyperlinks would make the page much cleaner and easier to follow.
