#1545 has removed the benchmarks for the Activity extension methods. Need to bring it back. And possible split the Benchmarks project into API/SDK/Instrumentation/Exporter projects and run it as part of CI. Splitting should allow us to selectively run benchmarks in CI, depending on which files have changed.

Hi, any updates on this? I see the benchmark directory in this project, but was wondering if they run in any sort of automated fashion?
