Refactor the background remover using modern technologies

• Between the time when @stephanegigandet implemented a simple background remover for ingredients (now disabled) and today, technology has improved by leaps and bounds.
• We now have the opportunity to refactor the background remover using modern technologies, and off the shelf (pun intended) technology
