Noting @Mike-ORG's point at #114 about aged blocks, could we:

  • Retain a scrape of the index page of the website when a report is made (or optionally when a block is reported @gwire ?)
  • Submit home page to Wayback Machine if automation is available for ongoing indexing

(Note: Seems that Wayback machine can do queries but does not say anything about submissions: https://archive.org/help/wayback_api.php

Thumbnails & screenshots are automatically gathered for submitted sites - they're generated in batches from an AWS host, so they may not appear instantly.
