Hello Team, my name is Jugal Chauhan and I am writing this to gain Organization Membership Access for OpenSearch Project.

I am an AWS Employee, currently working in the OpenSearch Org - with the OpenSearch Migrations Team, and my Amazon alias is "jugaldc". I have linked my existing personal github account to have my Amazon Alias and Amazon Email id associate with it. My manager asked me to open a ticket here to gain Membership access.

Additional information to support your request

Being an AWS employee, I confirm that I have taken the Github and OpenSource training on AWS Learn and KNET. I have also successfully set up Git Secrets as instructed on my onboarding.

If you do not need to become a maintainer, join a specific role like triage team, etc. , your current read access should allow you to check issues and send PRs already.

Thank you for your response. I missed out on a few clarifications and context earlier - I do need to become a maintainer of opensearch-project/opensearch-migrations. I am a new joinee who works with the opensearch-migrations team and in the future I will need this Org membership to merge PRs as well as creating or reviewing them.

Do you have the pull request adding you as a maintainer in the required repo. Please see the process mentioned here for becoming a maintainer starting with the nomination process.

Thanks @jugal-chauhan Please also update the codeowners file . Will wait for other maintainers to approve and no-vetos as per the procedure. Once approved, I need to create request with LF.

@gaiksaya I have updated the codeowners file on the same commit I added myself to the maintainer's list. For the time being I am noticing an error "Unknown owner on line 2: make sure @jugal-chauhan exists and has write access to the repository" but I assume this will be resolved once you create a request with LF.
