The article is about the following sensors in (mobile) devices:

  • Touch
  • Geolocation (GPS)
  • Motion (accelerometer, compass, gyroscope)
  • Energy
  • Proximity
  • Media Capture
  • Light
  • Temperature
  • Pressure

and how to use the Web APIs that make web developers access those sensors.

This article is based on the following slides:

http://lanyrd.com/2015/ota15/sdrzhr/#link-cchch

I will focus only on the W3C standards, and mention the new Sensor API (under construction).

I already covered the "Media Capture" capture in the following article I wrote a couple of years ago for Dev.Opera:

https://dev.opera.com/articles/view/media-capture-in-mobile-browsers/

so I'll link to it.
