vdo-api: how to specify which camera to get frames from?

I want to use the vdo API on a camera with dual sensors (P4707) how would I specify which camera to use?

In the VAPIX API this is done with the camera query parameter, for example:

axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?camera=1 <- left
axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?camera=2 <- right
axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?camera=3 <- group

Is there a vdo setting I can use to achieve the same?

I tried:

vdo_map_set_uint32(settings, "camera", camera_id);
[...]
vdo = vdo_stream_new(settings, NULL, NULL);

But no luck.
