Ping from an AXIS ACAP device #658
-
HI, First of all, sorry if I make any mistakes. I'm new to the community. I have an Axis A9161 I/O module that supports VAPIX and ACAP. In my opinion this need has certainly already been addressed by someone in the past, but I haven't been able to find anything. Thank you in advance for your support. Greetings |

This automatically generated reply acts as a friendly reminder. Answers to your questions will most often come from the community, from developers like yourself. You will, from time to time, find that Axis employees answers some of the questions, but this is not a guarantee. Think of the discussion forum as a complement to other support channels, not a replacement to any of them. If your question remains unanswered for a period of time, please revisit it to see whether it can be improved by following the guidelines listed in Axis support guidelines. |

Hi @Freejack72 ,
AXIS A9161 Network I/O Relay Module SoC is ARTPEC-5(mips). There is no public SDK available for this architecture from Axis. You can try to request for ACAP SDK (3.0.0) older version from the local Axis team.
Alternatives:
SDKs (Not from Axis):
cargo-acap
"Utilize Support_ACAP for pinging an IP Address (Please exercise caution when using this feature):"
Support_ACAP
Note:
I have not tested this ACAP with AXIS A9161 Network I/O Relay Module. May require SD card inside the Axis device to record logs.
VAPIX APIs for connection test:
Connection test: Ping, ports and IP addresses
