Hi @rsporsche , You can give it a try using the param.cgi update call: "axis-cgi/param.cgi?action=update&root.ImageSource.I0.Sensor.ExposureValue=xx" Get the exposure valueUpdate the exposure valueVerify the exposure valueReference: I am not sure if these details are not included in SEI user data 😞 RTSP SEI user data details: Trigger data |

Thanks, I'll give this a go. Sorry for the late response btw, I misunderstood what you were suggesting at first but the Exposure mode = hold looks to be key. |

Actually I think ManualGainControl and ManualShutterControl is more what I'm looking for. It doesn't seem to be possible to change the exposure at all when exposure mode = Hold Current. |

I want to control camera exposure in real-time from an external application.
To do this I require the exposure parameters that each frame was captured with (exposure time, gain, and possibly aperture).
Can this information be embedded in the RTSP stream as e.g. SEI user data? If not, is this information available via vdoframe? I see a function named vdo_frame_get_extra_info that looks promising but it just returns a map. Where can I find a list of valid keys for this map like the page for vdostream?
I also need an interface to set exposure time and gain with low latency and high frequency (>5 Hz).
I can't see anything in the vdo api to do this. The vapix imaging API has controls for gain and exposure but it looks like it's only influencing the automatic exposure/gain control and doesn't allow to set a specific value. I assume that the Parameter API won't do this either.
