Yes. Tag the PA and ask if the issue is open because sometimes it takes time to solve issues. Do not try commenting on every open issue unless it is like, 2-3 weeks old. |

Firstly it is great practice in open source projects as multiple people are working on multiple project issues. Also it is essential to have an issue assigned to you before starting to avoid overlapping with others. Just comment on the issue, show your interest, and wait for it to be assigned before contributing. |

First you should express your interest by asking if you can work on an issue in the repository. Once approved the mentor or project admin will assign the issue to you for further work. |

@manavi-24 Best practice is to first message in the project discussion section then either the project admin or the mentors of that project will assign the issue you wished to work on till then you should probably wait for conformation so it doest cause issues with other contributors. |
