Hello all! Just a quick update from your friendly neighborhood technical community builder :)
We will be transferring the Camunda Community Hub to the Camunda GitHub enterprise account this week.
Currently, the Community Hub is a standalone organization, but as we grow the Camunda Marketplace, we are migrating to the Camunda enterprise account to make use of the advanced security tooling offered at the enterprise level. This will allow us to offer Certified Connectors and other future improvements!
How does this impact me?
Ideally, you won’t even notice the change! This move does not change anything about your repos. They are still open source, publicly available, and follow the license specified in each repo, and that won't change. You will also still have the same permissions you currently have on each repo.
As a result of moving to the Camunda enterprise account, all non-Camundi in the Camunda Community Hub will be converted to Outside Collaborators instead of Members. This allows the same permissions on a repo-by-repo basis -- for example, you can still be an Admin or Maintainer – and your current permissions will remain the same.
The main change is our process for transferring an existing repository into the Community Hub organization. Luckily, the new process is actually simpler than the previous one! Now, you will add a member of the Camunda team to your repo, and then they will transfer it for you. The full directions are now updated in our documentation.
Please let us know if you run into anything unexpected or have any questions or concerns!
